As our special guest in March 2023, Martin Peña shared his unique artwork of juxtaposed images allowing us to experience the Camino from a completely fresh perspective in a way that only art can do. 

We welcome Martin back. Today, he is a board member of American Pilgrims on the Camino and is co-chair of the 2026 annual gathering in Hunt, Texas.  Martin’s chosen theme for the gathering is ‘Echoes from the Camino’: The Gifts We Carry. The Gifts We Share. He passionately believes that the Camino speaks through us - if we are willing to listen, and willing to share. 

Martin will not only share a few examples of his new artwork, we will also gain a glimpse into Martin’s vision for the theme, with the Gathering being his latest canvas.  In this way, the annual gathering will showcase the echoes from many pilgrims' hearts which they share in story, poetry, film, song, photography and many other forms.
